The late Mr. Robert Nash was a dedicated volunteer for Family Promise of Acadiana for 18 years. Through a generous bequest from Mr. Nash, combined with additional private loan financing, we were able to purchase this building near downtown Lafayette, and have named it in his honor. As the new home for our organization and the families we serve, it will provide more space and better functionality, enabling us to increase the number of families we can help and improve our community outreach. 

The facility is in need of improvements to meet current building code standards and to provide the optimal setting for our program services for years to come. This capital campaign aims to raise $500,000 to meet our loan obligation, make the necessary renovations and equip the house.

Project Highlights
The Nash House includes three family bedrooms, two full baths, kitchen, dining room, living room, study/conference room, office space and storage space. Renovations and improvements will include:

• Fire safety improvements, including the addition of a firewall and exterior exit doors in all bedrooms
• Addition of wheelchair ramp and handrails
• Modify one bathroom for ADA compliance
• Replace kitchen flooring, stove, hot water heater and laundry appliances
• Replace outside deck
• Install new locks and security system on existing exterior doors
• Furnishings for all rooms 
• Window repairs
• Window dressings for all rooms
• Complete or replace fencing 
• New doors for garage storage spaces
• Miscellaneous small repairs and painting throughout the house and office space (interior and exterior)
